The Government of Indonesia has set a target of 100% drinking water coverage by 2030. The main focus of the research included identification and survey of hotspots crossed by the Sindangheula SPAM JDU pipeline as well as socio-economic analysis of the beneficiary communities. In addition, the study included the identification of utilities along the 72,879 km main distribution network. The licensing of the route that will be crossed by the Sindangheula SPAM pipeline in Serang Regency, Serang City, and Cilegon City is also carefully considered, taking into account the suitability of the Spatial Planning. Conservative measures are required in developing raw water and distribution units in stages to address the complexities of urban development with rapid population growth and increased demand for clean water. In addition, pipeline installation methods, including the use of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) and manual drilling techniques at critical locations, were important considerations in the planning of this project. In order to ensure the success of the project, land acquisition for the installation of pipelines and water meters towards the Titik serah point also became an integral part of the implementation strategy.References
